Music For Youth Proms Returning for 2022

The Music For Youth Proms will return again on 15 and 16 November this year. The MU is a major sponsor of Music For Youth, who do incredible work supporting the next generation to make music.

Two evening concerts will bring over 2000 young musicians from across the country back together.

The Music for Youth Proms are back for a two-day musical extravaganza on 15 and 16 November. Two evening concerts will bring over 2000 young musicians from across the country back together: full-scale symphony orchestras are showcased alongside young jazz bands, chamber groups, bands and singer-songwriters from across the UK.

Performances include the Ukrainian Refugee Ensemble – a group of young refugee music students from Ukraine have travelled to the UK safely to be able to continue their studies at the London Performing Academy of Music, and together they will be performing two special contrasting pieces.

Members Affected by RWCMD Consultation Urged to Contact the MU

The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama is proposing to cease its weekly creative sessions for young people from the end of this academic year. Members who will be affected by this are urged to contact their local regional office.
