PiPA are Looking for Classical Musicians, Composers, Singers and Conductors to Take Part in Their Inaugural Classical Music Survey

This aim of the survey is to investigate the impact of caring responsibilities on career progression in Classical Music as well as wider workforce issues including work-life balance and wellbeing.

The survey is led by PiPA (Parents and Carers in Performing Arts) and Birkbeck University, funded by Help Musicians and The MU and developed in partnership with Association of British Orchestras, Liverpool Philharmonic, SWAP’ra, Black Lives in Music and UK Music.

Data driven insights from the survey will influence PiPA’s future work with partners in music to develop more inclusive working practices and practical strategies to better support not just parents and carers, but everyone.

It is vital that we hear from people from all backgrounds and circumstances to ensure that subsequent strategies are inclusive and accessible so please share this survey as widely as possible.
